During the 2024 FASHIONCLASH Festival, visitors of the New Fashion Narratives exhibition at Bureau Europa were invited to join the Body Sculptures workshop with Liselore Frowijn on Sunday 17 November in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Inspired by Frowijn’s textile sculpture series ‘Tactual Misfits’ from 2022, which explores eroticism within fashion and textiles through textile sculptures, visitors participated in a workshop by collaboratively creating bodily sculptures from discarded sportswear clothes. By stretching, pulling, cutting, and playing with the lycra fabrics around wooden frames, bodies were simulated without the use of actual bodies.
