RESIDENCY
2024
LOTTOZERO
In October 2024, Liselore Frowijn experienced a magical residence in the textile city of Prato, Italy, with the most wonderful team of Lottozero. In their textile laboratory, she created a large group of textile sculptures made of historical upholstery fabrics and a series of jacquard tapestries. For this project, she delved into my continuing research to shape a critical reflection on the perception of women’s bodies as functional carrying objects within our Western societies, drawing inspiration from feminist philosopher Silvia Federici. As the project is ongoing, Frowijn will continue working on it back home in Amsterdam. Stay tuned, as more will follow soon! In the meantime, please enjoy this visual diary of ‘A Day in Prato’.
